FKG TAN

FKG TAN, born in Manhattan to immigrant parents and raised in the Bronx, where he discovered his passion for music, has been diligently advancing his career in the music industry. Having been immersed in music from an early age, FKG TAN began writing records and developing his unique rap style and brand of storytelling, with lyrics that are authentic, raw, and unfiltered. Combined with driven beats, FKG TAN delivers a sound that is unmistakably his, giving an unapologetic glimpse into his life.

His raw talent and authentic voice quickly gained the attention of producers and artists in Europe, from collaborating with 2x Grammy-nominated producer Wizzy Wow (Wretch 32, Big Sean, 2 Chainz)—with the former receiving a call from platinum-selling and Grammy-winning artist Ryan Leslie upon hearing an FKG TAN freestyle—to working with some of his favorite recording artists such as Joy Joseph (Mr. Hudson & The Library), Klayz (protégé of Sway), Mickey Factz (Drake, Rolling Stone Featured, XXL Freshman, Styles P), and Jammer of Skepta and Jme’s Boy Better Know collective via a collaboration with 3damind (RSKL). All of this culminated in his October 2022 performance at the Diwali Festival in Handsworth, Birmingham, United Kingdom, where he premiered his breakout debut single, “BABY, BABY / LEAN ON ME.” FKG TAN has a lot more music in the works with no plans of slowing down.
