PROSE Mike Murray Manchester Prose – known for his original blend of hip-hop and indie – released his breakthrough album Home Of The Brave (Virgin EMI) in 2016. Hailing from Manchester, Prose has performed alongside artists including Professor Green, The Enemy and fellow Mancunian JP Cooper. One of his most notable collaborations came with four-time BRIT Award winner Emeli Sandé, who joined him on the track Head Sick after being introduced by London DJ and producer Naughty Boy. A long-term collaborator, Naughty Boy discovered Prose on YouTube and later signed him to his label. Head Sick was released through Virgin EMI as part of Prose’s acclaimed 2015 EP What If?, earning national radio support from Nick Grimshaw (BBC Radio 1) and John Kennedy (Radio X), who both featured Run With Faith as their track of the week. Since then, Prose has carved his own path as an independent artist, releasing music directly to his fans and continuing to build a loyal following. His anthemic songwriting and cinematic sound have led to major commissions, including the bespoke theme track We’ll Make History for Oktagon MMA, which he performed live in front of 70,000 people in Frankfurt — the largest MMA event in history. Prose has also created two exclusive tracks for the UFC, writing and producing entrance music for Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett and Islam Makhachev, further cementing his reputation for crafting powerful, emotionally charged music that transcends genres. Beyond the sporting world, Prose’s songs have gone viral across TikTok, introducing his music to a new global audience, and in 2025 he featured on Kyle Falconer (of The View)’s acclaimed solo album. A true independent force, Prose continues to evolve — blending heartfelt lyricism, raw northern grit, and cinematic production to create music that connects deeply with listeners worldwide.
