Born Jermaiine Anderson [Big Mayne] January 5, 1988 at LSU Hospital in the small city of Shreveport,Louisiana. He always had that desire and love for Hip-Hop even at a young age dancing to MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice. One of his moguls he looked up to and listen to was 2pac. Big Mayne liked 2pac for his poetic style and view on life, bringing light to the public of the things that happens in the less fortunate areas.
By the age of 9 Big Mayne had been practicing rapping to himself, but did not take it serious until he, his brother, along with his cousins were recording on a old radio that allowed you to record on the cassette tape through the mic. At that time Big Mayne decided he was gone be a rapper after hearing from family that he had a skill at rapping.
At the age of 13 Big Mayne rapping over cassette tapes letting friends and family hear it. Getting good responds back, people begin to really wanna hear him rap more and more often. Big Mayne recalls his first time in an actual studio at 14, "It was like a rush being up there in front of my big brother, cousin, and his friends. I knew i had to come with it. I did my thing i knew i went hard cuz everbody was amazed".
At 15, Big Mayne meets another rapper named Demarcus Thompson [Drip], then he meets rapper Solomon Pineset [Gogetta] at 16. Drip had already had his lable name, which was named Drip Entertainment, so Big Mayne and Gogetta joined. These three dropped several mixtapes while in high school.[Fair Park High} They got so much love and respect for their musical talents. Though they put out plenty of music, "Dynasty Still Alive"2009 Big Mayne feels that was sum of there best work as a unit. Better Quality and well put together music. By 2009, Big Mayne leaked a club banger called "Im On It"which he produced. This song received so much positive feed back. It got played in parties and clubs. Also during this year Drip Entertainment goes to visit friend who also raps by the name of Chief in Chicago, IL.[Ceo of rap group City Savage]
Everthing was looking so positive in 2009, but 2010 was a let down year. Big Mayne had no studio, friend Drip had taken sick and was in and out the hospital. Big Mayne and Gogetta still keep hope alive, which meant going to anybody studio whenever they had the chance to and destroy tracks.
From 2010-2012 Big Mayne continued to work on his music perfecting his craft and eventually leaving Drip Entertainment him and Gogetta to team up with family and friends."Hyena Entertainment"
2013 was one of the most successful years ever for Big Mayne along side his HYMG(Hyena Entertainment). Putting out one of the hottest mixtapes to ever come across the city of Shreveport titled "All Eyes On Us". "All Eyes On Us" has went on to continue to make noise in the streets.
By 2014 Big Mayne teams up with the "We $et" brand and records a powerful song with a positive message. By putting down the song it allowed Big Mayne to shoot his first ever music video, record his first song that's being sold across iTunes, and gets his first interview at the local radio station.
Big Mayne Is determined to reach that level where people could say hes a legend in the game. His love for good music will never die out as he begins his solo work. Big Mayne has so much in store for you, so enjoy his talent and life he brings through his musical talent.
