Drum and Bass + Dubstep + Bass Music DJ/ Producer/ (ex)Promoter Wash is the co-founder of Hong Kong’s premier Drum&Bass + Dubstep promoter Kongkretebass + Kongkast, a previously Hong Kong based crew which had been promoting events, a website, as well as the biggest drum & bass/dubstep podcast in the region between 2006 -2012. Regarded as one of the best Drum & Bass DJs in Hong Kong, he has supported DJs such as Friction, Goldie, Breakage, SpectraSoul, Shimon, Big Bud, Chris Su & Jade, Lynx, Pinch, Goth-Trad, Distance, Kode9, Kryptic Minds to name a few. Wash convinces the crowds with dynamic sets, tight mixing skills and a refreshing spectrum of styles in Drum & Bass, Dubstep and other Bass genres. Growing up in Sydney Australia and learning about Drum and Bass in the late 90s, Wash relocated back to his birthplace of Hong Kong in 2005 with his own unique take on DJing. Since his homecoming, he has headlined many of the city’s major Drum & Bass nights in addition to international guest performances in across Asia. In 2012, having relocated to Dresden Germany, where he remain active until 2015, when he decided to slow things right down and took time away from music for a number of years. Fast forward to 2024, Wash is back in the studio with a new prospective in what his current sound should be. Varying genres from Drum & Bass, Dubstep, UKG, Bass House, Down Tempo. Continuing to push his studio work with productions with his own deep, dark, tech-style sounds. Kongkast - Hong Kong’s Drum and Bass / Dubstep Podcast. Established in 2006, which ran Bi-Weekly for 239 episodes until 2014. During the broadcasting period, Kongkast was considered to be one of the best source of exclusive mixes from Artists around the world. An invitational only Podcast, each “Kongkast Podcast” showcased one-off studio mixes from names such as Digital, DJ Flight, Silent Dust, DLR, Octane, Alley Cat, Halogenix and many more, as well as regular hosting duties by Wash.
