Deeply rooted in the mystique of the 1980's, Girlfriend Records catalog sees electro, funk, disco, and house knocking knees with college rock, shoegaze, post-punk, new wave, and hip-hop to create musical hybrids that are comfortingly nostalgic, yet unmistakably modern. Johnatron and Sferro cull releases from an array of respected producers, each of whom brings a different perspective and approach to create a unified body of work that constantly morphs and evolves.
