I like to tell stories. And in this medium, they become something to be experienced, as if immersed in a good book. I am devoted to mapping out the pathway for each of you to embrace a new way to learn how to think, feel and move, and thus you embark with me on an AuralSonic journey that transmogrifies us all. And then i started fighting and advocating for Trans Equality and Justice in the early 90's, and during the Obama era, we were actually flourishing! And now, I fucking have to do it all over AGAIN! I'm getting too old for this shit. Remember, Fear will consume you, unless you face it. Face it clearly, openly and visibly, with courage and conviction. Do yourself the honor and privilege of living your life with dignity and grace. It's hard. It's difficult. It's messy. It's dangerous. But everyone owes it to themselves to be themselves. Declare your existence. You matter. I matter. Continue the fight for equal protection and justice under the law. You are not alone. The waiting is over. The time is now. ==== A dear friend told me my sets felt like you never knew where you're going, but were always happy when you got there. As a Groove Guardian I could not ask for higher praise. Music is a special language I have experienced, practiced and absorbed my entire life. And now in my "Golden Years", I practice this complex craft using the simplest of tools and as little FX as possible. Less is so much more. I avoid artificially contrived tension and release, and prefer to let music express what is already inherent; if it works, don't fix it. ===== My Dad was a Choir Master and Music Director (from the Royal School of Church Music in London, England). I grew up listening to him playing the piano every day. He started me singing at age 7 (1963), and for the ensuing three decades, I was immersed and trained in music structure, classical history, sight-reading and singing in quartets, sextets, octets, madrigals, Gregorian chants, school choruses, professional chorales and soloist in the sacred circuits of LA. In 1968, I was collecting first-issue releases from the Turtles and the Beatles. I graduated Santa Monica High School in 1974, and was programming house party mix tapes on cassette tape. Of course it was very linear, but even then I was thinking outside the box. With the advent of DAW’s, it’s a whole new world! Today, it’s about inspiring and uplifting people through music's universal language. It’s about feelings and passion using an eclectic mix of genres and styles, new, old, obscure and popular. I want to set free your heart, your mind and your body. Burning Man and Sweets Ballroom – not to mention the Dungeons and Play Spaces in San Francisco & Oakland – have irrevocably altered my musical DNA.
