Playmodes Audiovisual Research Playmodes is an art research collective. This is its sound experiments repository. We hand-code our digital instruments with open-source tools (Ableton is banned at home). We collaborate with contemporary music interpreters. We compose scores for string quartets, choirs, piano, pipe organs, wind quintets or chamber orchestras. We dig into the data sonification waters, turning stars into music. And above all, we love deep and weird computer music.
