We had a drummer called Neil Chapman & Phil Hawkins on keys, we recorded, nothing released (- I think I still have some of this) gigged a bit & started to get a bit of interest (local band Babe Ruth & their management took us under their wing). In late 72 we were starting to get serious & Neil left to be replaced by a Hemel guy Charlie Chandler on drums , Dave Puncheon left Babe Ruth for us (part of the deal was that he gigged with BR until a replacement was found) & replaced Phil, we also were joined by a depping flute, sax & vocalist from Pinner called Richard Blanchard. The live Flux tracks are with this line up John, me, Dave P, Richard & Charlie. We were playing reasonably regularly & widely including 100 club & Marquee. We recorded a demo for EMI harvest at Manchester Square & were close to being signed, this did not happen but there still was interest from other companies. This coincided with Dave P leaving to live with the Divine Light Movement, Charlie left to rebuild antique furniture & they were replaced by 2 pro circuit musicians, Zoë Kronberger on keys & Nick Monas on drums. Richard, (who was also a pro photographer) was getting more depping work including the Glitter Band & left to be replaced by another circuit pro Jon Gifford on F & S. The atmosphere with Zoe & Nick was strained & they left in mid 74 & soon after John did the Argent audition & went to them - the band folded in late 74. (somewhere I have a very bad recording of our last gig together) The Killer track was really and truely interrupted by a Bomb Scare. This was the height of the IRA issues, which ended up affecting us all.... history as it happens :-) Genre "Jazz Rock" Contains tracks
